TASTING NOTES
The 2023 Albariño is a vibrant, aromatic expression of this classic Spanish varietal, showcasing bright aromas of stone fruits, ripe pear, honey, and a touch of green herb. On the palate, the wine opens with a tangy, mouthwatering entry that transitions into a rounder midpalate, revealing flavors of juicy peach, nectarine, and pink grapefruit. The signature sea breeze salinity from our estate adds a layer of complexity, leading to a refreshing, quenching finish that perfectly balances the wine’s natural acidity.

FOOD PAIRINGS
The coastal character and crisp acidity of the 2021 Albariño make it an ideal pairing for a variety of seafood dishes. Here are some perfect matches:
*Seared scallops with citrus beurre blanc
*Crab cakes with a lemon aioli
*Steamed mussels with garlic and white wine
*Classic ceviche with lime, cilantro, and chili
*Goat cheese salad with citrus vinaigrette

This Albariño’s fresh, bright profile makes it a versatile choice for seafood lovers and a crowd-pleaser at picnics or parties.

WINEMAKING
The 2023 Albariño was harvested at night to preserve its freshness and fruit integrity. After being destemmed and gently pressed, the juice underwent a cold fermentation in stainless steel for 14 days, with a special yeast chosen by Winemaker Adrian Bolshoi to accentuate the wine’s floral and varietal characteristics. The wine was then aged at 40°F for eight months in stainless steel, with 5% aged in neutral French oak barrels to enhance its body and mouthfeel. The result is a fresh, bright Albariño that perfectly captures the essence of the Santa Ynez Valley’s coastal climate.
